Though I've been coming to Myrtle Beach for as long as I can remember, this was my first time trying Greg Norman's Australian Grill. My wife and I were looking for a little something different for a date night and we were very pleased with our experience here. We were greeted promptly and kindly. Even though we didn't have a reservation, seating wasn't an issue although we did go a little early (around 5.) When asked, we decided to sit outside. Walking through the restaurant however, there would not have been a bad seat in the house. The ceiling is tiered so that everyone has a great view of the waterway. I order the Filet Au Poivre. It was perfectly cooked and well presented. Tender steak, with bold, but appropriate flavors. I also ordered a Caesar salad that was a little lackluster in comparison to the entree. The dressing was just a bit bland considering the boldness of all of the other flavors. My wife ordered the scallops and they were very good. If you're a purist like I am, you may find the delicate flavor a bit overcrowded by the sweetness of the surrounding elements, but she enjoyed them and found all of the flavors to work well together. After a wonderful meal, we decided to have Creme Brûlée for dessert which is one of our favorites. The dish itself was very good with a nice crust and the right amount of vanilla. The only negative was that there were no fresh berries served with it, as is customary for this dessert. That would have have been a nice touch, but it was still a great dessert. The only other negative I could find was that my Caesar salad was $8, but was far oversized. They could have priced the salad lower and scaled the portion back. Honestly, a salad 1/2-1/3 of the size would have been just fine. All in all, we were very pleased with our first experience at Greg Norman's. The food was excellent, they views were fantastic, and the service was outstanding. We look forward to coming back next year!

We got a $75 voucher from Wyndham for sitting through their pitch. Otherwise prob would not have chosen this resto. Located in Barefoot Landing it considers itself to be a bit more fine dining than the other places around. Prices will reflect this. Space is dark and cVernous with dim lighting. Views of the marina were lovely though. Wc is good bec the wait for good will be 30-45 mins. House made bread was crusty and perfect, keep some ready to mop up jus! Caesar salad is huge for $8, look to split that. House made dressing w real yolks and anchovies so it rang tasty and true. Hubby had 14oz prime rib wc was excellent buttery and up to par. Alas my rib eye was over done on the grill and this is supposedly their signature steak. I got a maybe 1/2-2/3 thick cut, but well instead of medium. We would've felt gypped if we had to pay in full for this meal.

Going to a restaurant with a famous golfer as its trademark, did leave me a bit hesitant. We were seated on the verandah with a great view of the waterway. Well, it only got better from there. The food was outstanding as was the service. We had a large party of 10 with a variety of tastes. The staff easily catered for our needs and everything was brought out together. The steaks were excellent and cooked to perfection. Same with the seafood. No criticism of the food or staff, it was just a tad pricey for what you got. Other than that a great place to eat.

Ambiance and service was great. The food was slightly above par. Diver scallops were tasty but risotto was bland. Wife had crab ravioli, sauce was the boss but pasta quality did not match the price they charge for it. One of those times you wished you ordered something else. Bullocks!

We visited Greg Norman for my mother's birthday. It was a very nice experience. A little overpriced but very good food and the wait was not too bad. Very nice atmosphere.

Great lunch. Great prices. Great view. Great experience. Not real sure about other commenting on being overpriced. I guess some want champagne at beer pricing? The Crème brûlée was unreal!

While on a family vacation celebrating my parents 50th wedding anniversary Greg Norman's was a home run. We were seated promptly upon arriving for our reservations at 7:00 even though we were a few minutes early the service was impeccable. The drink glasses were never empty and all the food came out at one time seems simple but not to be taken for granted these days. Ten steaks were ordered with three different temperatures cooked to perfection. One lobster ravioli everyone complimented on the great flavor of their food The quality of the food along with the service is what sets this restaurant above the rest. This wonderful evening will long be remembered for the great experience our family had at Greg Norman's .

My boyfriend and I had the most amazing experience at Greg Norman's. I had the seared tuna and he had a filet and lobster tail. The tuna was single-handedly the best tuna I've ever had, cooked perfectly over a bed of rice in a great sauce I highly recommend this dish. My boyfriend's steak and lobster were both cooked well. We also had the shrimp cocktail appetizer, shrimps are huge. Service was great, no complaints, the waiter was happy to take a picture of us in front of the water which we appreciated. The outdoor seating has a great view of the harbor. We will definitely be coming back here on our next visit.

Came for lunch and got the crab cake sandwich and bf got the French dip. Both very good. Fries were incredible. No complaints. Nothing really blew me out of the water but I'm sure with the variety on the menu there is for sure something that would. When we visit myrtle beach next time I'm sure we will come here and try more. Great atmosphere and great service. Very romantic and the prices are not bad for the portion sizes.

Great food. It's over priced for what it is, but it's still great entrées. We went for the lunch since it's a bit cheaper at lunch and sat outside by the boats. Great server, good drinks. Outdoor view is of the intercostal water way, which is an OK view to look at while eating.

We wanted a super dinner. Our week had not got quite as planned, and we had been there before. Greg's did not disappoint, even a little. The service was excellent. We were treated to well trained waitstaff that saw to our needs without being too present. Our entrees were done perfectly, and we enjoyed enough to go ahead and go for their dessert offerings as well. We will definitely be back there next time!

Great meal and service as usual. We come back every visit to myrtle beach. Steaks and seafood are always top notch. Won't be disappointed.

We come to Myrtle Beach every summer and this is one of our favorite places! This year, I tried the swordfish served oscar style. It was excellent! Highly recommend!

Nice atmosphere, great location. Food was not as good as expected for the price, nor the name of the restaurant. Service was ok, not great. They are better options for fine dining in the area.

The Myrtle Beaches steak house scene is not what one would consider to be, robust. American fare is represented in the north section of Myrtle, but not really in the form of steaks and chops, giving Normans a higher level of recognition than it deserves on its own merits. Although not a huge fan of Mr. Norman as a PGA professional, I did pull for him during his Masters meltdowns. But after reading his book titles The Way if the Shark, (very Me, Me, Me & I, I, I) the restaurant made total sense to me. Norman persued many business interests and proudly bucked many of the powers that be, which he exonerated and relinquishing himself from fault at every instance. I see a correlation between his business thinking and the steakhouse itself in that the decour is a bit pretentious and a tad overdone. My server seemed to be aghast and taken back to my desire to order regular tap water as opposed to bottled. We were having a few adult beverages but it seemed my request labeled me as a sap in his eyes and our service went from bad to worse from there. Maybe I was mistaken for a city slickin tourist, maybe he was having a bad day. Either way, its not my problem and its your chore to man up and deliver professional service. Guys like this get weeded out so quickly in quality steakhouses and if not for the good company I may have had to completely excuse myself from dinner. It was to that level of inappropriate behavior. So I enjoyed my filet, soaked up another few glimpses of the view and left not saying anything to the floor manager who must have noticed the strained meal and tried to do a little customer relations managment but it was too little too late.

Had dinner here about 2 weeks ago as a spur of the moment. It was recommended by the conceirge from the Hilton myrtle beach resort.. Called at 8:20pm for a 9pm reservation. Table was ready when we arrived and was seated promptly. Mike and Austin served our table and they were both fantastic! They were both very quick with service and checked on us several times to make sure we were ok without being overwhelming. The food was very good! The drinks were great! We had the Prime Rib and the Woodgrill Rib Eye... the woodgrill steaks are awesome. Reminds me of grilling the steak over a grill during a camping trip..lol.. Loved it!!!!! Had the parm risotto as a side -- not a big fan. I could've done without it. Seats are comfortable all around the restaurant and the atmosphere is warm. This is a great steakhouse in the area. Prices are fairly priced for the quality of food and service received. I was hesitant at first reading other reviews about bad service, but they surely proved us wrong. Maybe we were just lucky? Either way -- if I'm ever in the area again, I would definitely come back.

Overpriced for mediocre menu items and virtually no hospitality in their service. For such a popular name I must say our expectations were not met for a place between a golf club and marina.

    (2)
  • Nitin M.

Fish and Chips - quite a disappointment, I am afraid. First my G&T was served in a chipped glass, how could she miss that? And she wants to know what's wrong with the glass.

    (2)
  • Kay K.

WAY overpriced. Crowded, noisy, too-busy wait staff. Filet mignon was expensive and not worth the price. Sides were extra! Would not pick this restaurant again.

This place has gotten stale. The cooks are now just phoning it in. The food used to be great, now it's just good to ok. Someone needs to tell the chefs that scallions & parsley are not the same thing. Unless you want every entree you order, including sides covered in scallions, tell them to hold the scallions. I guess they don't realize it's an onion and someone might not want their mashed sweet potatoes to be inundated with them. They have a 7 day a week happy hour at the bar from 4 to 7, but out of the ten wines that are discounted to $5 a glass, not one of them is a Greg Norman wine, it makes no sense. Great views of water when sitting outside, but that can be spoiled if the bar across the marina is blasting music outside.

Avoid if possible. This is a place that caters to large crowds, where service and food suffer. We had to argue with the hostess for a table outside by the Intracoastal Waterway, despite several being available. Had it not been for the intervention of the bartender, we would have been unsuccessful. The view was great, but that was the only positive part of the evening. Service was subpar and it took the kitchen 30 minutes after the dry, wilted salads were served to bring our entrees. The steaks were tough and tasteless. The menu labels them as "premium," a term that does not exist in USDA grading standards. The "Catch of the Day" was swordfish, but it was not fresh as the menu implied. Also, it was small, overcooked and had to be sent back. An offer to prepare another one was declined by the guest. If I was forced to go back, I would stop at Food Lion and pick up a meal to go, then eat it outside on Norman's veranda or go to Sole.

I give the ambiance 5 stars. The service level was 5 stars so if you want a fantastic experience for a special occasion I would highly recommend it. The reason for the 4 star is the price to quality of food was a bit low. We had several meals and I sampled the Tuna and the Ribeye. Both were good but not great. Soup was average. I agree with some of the reviews that it is a fantastic restaurant with overpriced quality.

The atmosphere and service was good. The hostess was incapable of making a decision if not provided with a table number. There were at least 12 open tables in a row by the window and she wanted to sit us directly in front of the only other couple inside the restaurant. We asked if we could give the other couple some privacy/ space so she moved us outside. There the views were nice and server was nice. He consistently kept all of our drinks full. My husband enjoyed the ceasar salad but thought the strip loin was ok but lacked seasoning. I had the prime rib which was equally fine. Our 9 year old had a 5 oz filet and said "it's ok but needs seasoning." If we were to go back we would sit by the bar area which looked really cozy.

This place is a must for us when visiting Myrtle Beach. The setting here is absolutely beautiful! We always request outside seating. My husband and I both ordered the ribeye dinner which came with garlic mashed potatoes and green beans. Everything was done to perfection.

Greg Norman's is one of my all time favorite restaurants, so I was pretty shocked to only see a 3 overall rating. My husband and I come down to Myrtle Beach once a year, and we don't miss a dinner at Greg Norman's. It is a little pricy, but not anymore than other good steakhouses. Our servers are always very attentive and our food comes out exactly how we like it. I order my steak medium, while my husband prefers well done. They always have a bread pudding special for dessert, which we almost always order but this time we went for the peanut butter pie. We tell everyone to go there, and always count the days when we can go back!

A very disappointing meal. Take it from an Aussie; this meal was not Australian culture by all means. Firstly, there is no sausage on the menu as well as meat pies! When I first walked in, I was greeted by an unwelcoming staff member who told me that I could wait to be seated until my a few members of my party had arrived after I told her I did want to be seated immediately, she still didn't sit me. I personally do not like steak unless it is high end steakhouse worthy but I thought I'd give it a shot here and I didn't like it at all. There was tons of fat on the piece and there seemed to be no seasoning apart from salt and pepper which I hate. I did not finish my meal and I didn't even eat dessert here just because of the disapointments. Although, the ambiance is nice; I do not reccomond this place.

5th time here in 6 years. Solid every time, I had read some reviews leading up to our visit and some were less than great. The place is really pretty and the service was great. We have Calamari and snails. Both good. Prime rib was enjoyed by several at the table.. All different temperatures and all were done right. I ordered a Grouper special which was really good. I can say that the place has gotten a little complacent with their status in the area, but with that said it was still as good as it has ever been. Simple things like making a reservation and being seated when you expect to and not being rushed to turn the table, while simple is nice. There are a lot of places to go at the beach, but I still say it is top 3 easily. Wine list is expensive, which is kind of too bad since it would be a chance for Greg Norman to feature his wine at a reduced price to encourage people to buy it after they leave. They could run specials on high end wine and charge less than normal bottle rate. Waiters could have sales contests to sell reds that need to be cycled out .

So just finished dinner here for the first time. Prices were average for a good steakhouse. Ordered the New York Strip and Filet. Strip was hands down the winner. Both were cooked perfectly to order but too much charcoal flavor on the filet. Also ordered a kids meal, sliders, which was well liked by my son. Strip comes with au graten potato which were excellent. The filet was ordered with risotto on the side. Risotto was underseasoned but cooked well. Bread on the table was great as was the service. Atmosphere was relaxing with no need for fancy attire. I would come back again if I was looking for a decent steakhouse with good service in Myrtle.

Beautiful dinner dockside. Get fish and pick a wine from their extensive list. Relax and enjoy. Service needs little bit of help. Sit outside

I'd give 1/2 star if I could. The service was bad, after our salad was cleared, we waited 40 minutes for our entrées. For a special that cost $32, the portion was very small. But worst of all, the food quality and taste was poor. The wedge salads were warm!!! And the grouper with risotto special tasted like air. No flavor at all. Not worth our time, nor our $100 bill.

The scenery, building and atmosphere are beautiful lending to the feeling of a quality restaurant. I found some of the staff to be very professional while others were less impressive. The food was of a higher price. Therefore, my standards increase. The flavors of the meal were impeccable. A beautiful symphony of savory tastes between the curry crab vegetables and red wine wild rice topped with a exquisite filet of beef. I was very sad after the beautiful plating that the vegetables and rice were near cold. The is a big issue in such a "quality" establishment. I would return in hopes that this was a single mishap.

I work as a yacht captain and have the luxury of trying some of the best restaurants in town as that's where wealthy yacht owners usually like to dine. I ordered a greek salad and a filet with potatoes au gratin. While my meal was good, I can't call it great. The service was EXCELLENT I must say. Definitely the best restaurant within the Barefoot Landing complex which is a dumpy tourist trap BTW.

Great place to take the family. They have a variety of tables. Large dinner tables for families. The atmosphere is very nice. Had calamari and escargot for appetizers. Both very good. The bread is delicious! Ask for the sweet chili sauce on the side for the calamari. Makes it soggy. The service was pretty good. A little slow at the end while waiting for the check. We had steaks tonight, ribeye and filet. They were good but not great. kind of dry and a little more charted for my taste. The sides and sauces were ok. Asparagus and green beans were a little over cooked.

Great place to come and sit by the water and watch the boats. All food and wine were terrific. The pizza was really tasty, get one of those. We created our own dish and the chef made it perfect... Blackened fish, rice pilaf and steamed veggies. Kudos to the chef... He even threw in some mango chutney!! Staff was really nice and friendly. Bread was really good too that came first!!! Would highly recommend and will be back during our next trip near myrtle beach

Beautiful views from their waterfront deck on a nice 78 degree day in Myrtle in December. Had the Norman Signature burger and it was delicious. If I lived here I'd be a regular - would seem to be a cool happy hour spot too as they have another row of bar hightops right on the water, below the patio dining level.

Went during happy hour at the bar. Service was horrible. We felt invisible. They should be prepared to wait on the patrons during happy hour. We ordered an appetizer. Ridiculous how long it took for one appetizer to arrive. Bartenders verged on rude. The atmosphere is nice.

This is a fantastic restaurant! Last May we came here and had the best service we have had in South or North Carolina. We didn't think it would be as good again but it was! Chase our server couldn't have been nicer and more polite. The food was great too - the bacon bourbon sauce was delicious on either pork or steak. Top notch, what else can I say!

My wife and I went for happy hour. Great atmosphere. Food: Grouper fingers - delicious. Onion rings - described as "steak cut". Were the opposite of what I expected. Thin, flimsy, and quite greasy. Small portion, but was only $5. Drink: Manhattan - not bad. Can't complain about $5 martinis. No draft beer. Bummer.

I'll give it a 2 star rating. My wife's meal was good. The service was very SLOW. Don't go if you can't wait a very long time. We were there for an hour and a half before our entree was delivered. This was after we were seated. I started the evening looking for a place for seafood - my wife wanted to try this place I didn't get seafood. We ordered an appetizer which was fine - it took 25 minutes to get to us but tasted fine. Our salad was delivered before the appetizer. I ordered the Ribeye Steak - it was the worst steak I have ever had in my life. 80% grizzle / Fat. You could not cut it with a knife it was so bad. The waitress did not check with me during the meal or I would have sent it back. I did complain when she picked up the mostly full plate. She still charged for the full price of the steak - when I said I did not want to pay for the steak, I would pay for the potato & green beans she said she would talk to her manager - they did take the price of the steak off the bill. It seems like a nice place but our experience was not pleasant, it took way too long to be served and although my wife enjoyed her meal we spent over 2 hours in the restaurant and that alone spoiled our visit. Good luck to anyone that may want to visit.

Slow & inattentive service. Good food. Slightly overpriced. Would recommend Flying Fish over this place. Sorry Shark!

The service was a little slow. It took over 5 minutes for our drink order to be taken - we almost got up and left. After being told they didn't serve sweet tea (!?!?!?!?) I just ordered a Dr. Pepper which was never brought - but I wasn't charged for it either. I ordered the filet au poirve? It was cooked perfect and was delicious. If it weren't for the poor service and lack of sweet tea, it'd have been a 5-star visit.

I went for dinner on 9/6/14 with my extended family, a party of 7. Without writing a completely horrid review, because I've been there several years in a row, when we visit Myrtle Beach and have had great meals, I'm convinced this was about the service and this will stick with me now, unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed. wanted to make this a special evening because we were celebrating my sons graduation from the milittary the day before and had booked a reservation about a month out. We were seated by the dishwashing kitchen and had people carrying things to and fro and there was a lot of noise going on all around us, beer cases were being carried to the bar, waiters coming I and out of the patio doors for diners on the patio . Overall, I wanted to leave many times during my meal. Even the steak had a bad taste in my mouth because of this. The server must've sensed my dissatisfaction, however that's no reason not to ask me if I wanted another glass of wine or a water refill, the service was very bad that night (9/6/14 and the food didn't bring it out of the dumps...

Visiting some family in Myrtle Beach and decided to head over to Barefoot Landing to Greg Norman's Australian Grille. Right on the Intracostal waterway, with nice inside seating with large glass windows to view the outside, or an outside deck directly on the water which is where we were last evening. A two piece band was playing some oldies and aside from it being extremely hot outside it was not very humid and the view was spectacular. Three of us for dinner this evening and our server was bubbly and on the ball as she provided us water, fresh warm bread with sweet whipped butter (Outstanding). After selecting a moderately priced California Cabernet and a couple of Cosmopolitans later for my cousin's wife, we were off to the races. We had a late lunch so only 1 appetizer was ordered the Escargot. Nice size portion (6) served in butter, lemon garlic sauce. I thought it could have been hotter (Temperature). But the flavor was there. On to the Entrees.. I had the Shark Cut Prime Rib 28 days prime aged. 20OZ no bone accompanied by loaded baked potato ($30.00). Although it was a very attractive looking dish the meat was lacking in any real prime rib flavor and was very tough. I will be the first to compliment a great piece of beef this was not it. Potato was large and toppings plentiful, but it was dried out inside and out. 2nd Entrée was the house special of the evening a blackened Filet mignon $39.00 covered with lump crabmeat, sauce béarnaise and served with vegetable (Broccoli). Top shelf dish here with the melt in your mouth filet with excellent sauce and topping. Vegetable was steamed and fresh. 3rd Entrée was Pan seared Greg Norman Australian Premium New York sirloin, served with au gratin potato, artichokes and finished with a Chianti demi. $29.95 Potato & vegetables were great but I thought the steak was on the tough side again and not really a great piece of beef. Service and ambiance was outstanding but with 2 of 3 entrees not ok anything special, I can't go over 2 stars here. Classic example of a 2.5 star place just not making it all the way over the hump to the next level. Would I go back? I'd probably choose one of the other multiple dining options here in Myrtle before I ran back, but if I did the filet Mignon would be the ticket. Note: Error on the bill as I did not look at it when paying but it seemed high. After calling the next day and speaking with the bookkeeper Joyce who emailed me a copy of the bill, it shows an extra bottle of wine on the bill that was in error. The server brought the wrong one out the 1st time and never voided the original bottle. Joyce contacted the server and they credited back my credit card for the incorrect bottle. Good customer service.

Seated at a comfortable table for 4 the A/C felt perfect after a day in the sun. Warm bread with butter arrived immediately after ordering We shared the Crispy Seafood Spring Rolls (large) which everyone enjoyed. Per waiter's suggestion I had the Rib Eye (14oz) which came with garlic mashed and string beans. While very good and tender the meal came out warm. My son had the same entree with the same issue. My wife ordered the "Catch of the Day" Swordfish special which was excellent. We all shared the lava cake w/ice cream which did not disappoint. Our waiter was informative (noted the Rib Eye entree which came with additions vs the "stand alone"). He inquired on us throughout dinner. Exception was when meals arrived where my son and I might have asked for the Rib Eye to be re-heated. Regardless - This was a pleasant experience reasonably priced when compared to other upscale dining establishments.

I wanted to go to a nice restaurant for my birthday and you'd be surprised how hard it was to find a nice white tablecloth restaurant in this area. The restaurant was able to accommodate my big party (12 people), the appetizer bread was great, and the food was high quality. However -- the service was VERY POOR. They told us we had a 15 minute wait and it turned out to be 45 minutes. They made us loiter at the bar (where there wasn't enough room anyway) and everyone was sweating buckets. The hostess swore that the air conditioner was on .... Regardless, it was extremely uncomfortable. Would not go again. There are a lot of other options in the same shopping center.

Last night I had one of the best meals of the year. Blackened grouper over orzo with slices of jalapeño that was just terrific. Appetizer was escargot in garlic that was as good as the main dish. My wife had a lobster tail that was done to perfection. Mike was our server and made the dining experience a pleasure with his positive and up beat personality. I will be back

Went to dinner on Monday, six people appetizers and drinks at the bar. Then got a nice table. Wait staff was very professional and when I dropped an appetizer on the floor they cleaned out up and brought out a new one, complementary. Steaks, scallops and ahi tuna for dinner, fantastic. Will be going there again soon.

Appetizers and desserts were just ok, but our main courses came out fantastic. Steaks were cooked to perfection. Make sure you ask to sit outside - the view over the water is very pretty. Check out the Barefoot Landing visitor kiosk before you eat - they will give you a free card for 10% off the bill. Saved us $25!

Had dinner here tonight. Not super expensive. Classy place, good service, food was great. My wife had the chicken with pecan crusted glaze--best meal she's had in a while she said. My prime rib was huge, great, and satisfying! Will be back.

We have eaten here many times through the years...used to be my default favorite place to eat. Of the dozens of meals...one time, off season, six years ago, we had a mediocre meal. The service, the wine, the surf and turf, the desserts, the atmosphere, the view...WOW factors. These folks that whine about prices or nit pick on things that are secondary variables largely beyond control...I am glad NOT to be enjoying GN's in their company. It's not like we set a low bar...this is an exceptional place to eat!!! Personality disorders and food reviews should be the subject of professional journals!!

We came here after a lovely massage - it was unplanned but the restaurant was on our list right by the massage place. Dress is casual - beach attire not allowed. We saw some people going in dressed up too - so a likely good date place too. Lots of families and older clientele. Nice service - very friendly. Parking convenient. Old school steak house decor. Beautiful view of water. Dae H had the filet, Oscar style. He asked for medium - but it came out more medium rare (which I tend to like). It was good. I had the Ahi tuna rare, of course, with the truffle risotto. I really enjoyed my dish - the sauce was a little teriyaki sweet for me - and the serving size quite generous. Dae ordered a guiness. I had hot water with lemon. Bill came to $100 even with tip. I'd go back.

Good food and interesting atmosphere. Prices seemed reasonable for area. Our party of 5 was sat next to a party of 30 which I thought would present a noise problem but given the high ceilings, I think that helped. Nice shopping area to wander after dinner.

A little too fancy and pricy for a laid back lunch or for kids. Food was decent but nothing special. Might be better for a date night than a family lunch. The place was almost vacant, and the service was correspondingly quite good. However, I would recommend other options.

Excellent! Had the tuna and risotto w bacon/bourbon glaze--maybe the most delicious thing to ever cross my lips! Spouse had salmon w mango salsa which was also delicious! Even the kid's chx nuggets were delicious. Although I would NOT recommend this place for children if it can be avoided. Service was great! Yes, Barefoot Landing is a tourist trap.

Sorry Greg but your restaurant has seen its better days. Filet ordered medium; served well. Have your chef clean the grill once in a while so the steak doesn't taste like it was blasted with a flame thrower. $8 for a side of asparagus? 8 shoe string strands of asparagus = $1 per strand. Now I know why it was so easy to get a table on a Saturday night the week of 4th of July at 8pm with an hour's notice.

I think Greg Normans has lost a step. For the price the food is NOT as good as it was in the past. My Ahi was no better than fish from TGI's I am sorry to say. And they let patrons smoke at the table next to us. Just not worth the money. Too bad I really used to like this place

My girlfriend and I were first timers to South Carolina and this was one first places we went too while vacationing. The occasion was actually her 24th birthday. The food and service at this restaurant was great. It was a nice and cool May day on the water. The view outside where were seated was excellent. My girlfriend ordered her usual dish, filet mignon and she told me it was excellent and I ordered lobster ravioli and it was awesome. The wait staff was great and next time we go to South Carolina we will sit inside because sitting inside looks amazing and very romantic. All and all this restaurant is awesome and I can't say enough about the knowledgable wait staff and the breath taking view off the water.

We spent a week in Myrtle last week and this was by far the best dinner that we had. I had the filet and my wife had the lobster pasta. The steak was excellent and the pasta was very good. The bread pudding desert was outstanding. We sat outside overlooking the waterway -- it was very nice. Pricey but good. Likely would have given it 5 stars but we had two minor league blips -- 1) my steak came out and I did not have a steak knife. Sucked to have to ask for one while my steak got cold and 2) my asparagas came out cold and had to be sent back.

I'd probably give this place 3 1/2 stars if I could. I was actually pleasantly surprised. I thought with a big name like Greg Norman and with a chain restaurant, that this place would be underwhelming and overpriced. In actuality, I think this place was pretty good. The atmosphere was classy and nice. The views of the intercoastal at night was fantastic. I got the pasta with diablo sauce and prawns. Nothing spectacular but I think worth the price tag. My girlfriend got the sesame crusted tuna sashimi appetizer and that was delicious. The portions here are huge. My girlfriend is a light eater so the appetizer was perfect for her. If I ever find myself back in Myrtle Beach, I'd come back here.

I bought a vacation home in North Myrtle about 4 years ago and Greg Normans is a must stop. The views and ambiance are great, the service is top notch and the food is consistently good. Enjoy a glass of wine at the bar or on the deck and treat yourself to one of their great appetizers like the Seafood Spring Rolls or the Calamari. The dining room is great for a more formal dining experience. The steaks are done right with a bit of fresh, smokey wood flavor and the seafood is always fresh. I especially like the seared Ahi Tuna(rare of course) and the Diver Scallops. If you have room for dessert then I suggest the Mini Chocolate Soufflé or the Creme Brûlée. Finish with a glass of 20 year old port and the evening is complete.

We have been to Greg Normans several times and enjoyed the meal, service, etc. We headed down to the beach for my husbands birthday and wanted to get the meal to go. We were put on hold for 5 minutes.... finally the hostess said the bartender was back at the bar and able to take our order. The bartender was so rude and acted like I was bothering her. She questioned me on the order twice and then acted as if I had no sense about what I wanted to eat. She gave me a total of just under $100 and hung up. I was beyond shocked and will not go back. There are too many other steakhouses that appreciate their customers. We decided to go to TBonz and ordered our meal from there. We were warmly greeted, got our food within 15 minutes, and we enjoyed a lovely dinner.

Came here for a group lunch after a conference weekend. We had a fixed menu so I my comments may not apply to the quality of the overall menu. To start with, the bread was great. It was warm and light and flavorful. Unfortunately that was the highlight of the meal. The starter salad was not the best and my dish, the wagyu burger, came well done when I requested medium. It seems pre-shaped which suggests that it may have been frozen. On top of that, the fries were hard and overly salty. Others at the table had trigger fish and complained that it was overlooked and "stretchy". Overall this place is scenically beautiful. It's right on the water and has a great view. That's the reason for the extra star.

The atmosphere here is really great. However, the food was not all we expected. We had a party of six. Two of us had surf and turf, and they really loved it. Turf was a little overcooked but the surf was really good. Two of us got prime rib, one was okay,, the other tasted a little odd. I got the rib eye, wood fired. Way toooo smokey for me, to much fat on the steak. I enjoy rib eye often and this was not as good as you, expect for these prices. Bread pudding? Not worth getting. Too bad, atmosphere is great, everything else not so much.

My wife and I had dinner on tues. night. Escargot, composed salad, and the "Beef special" (steak and lobster claws)and a couple of glasses of the GN Cabernet wine. Off the hook! Could not have been better except possibly the escargot. I have had better, (in Paris). A little over $150 without the tip. Joe

March 2013 Review: First off, it is pricey...it is all ala carte so expect a $45-55 per person. The salmon was great, the steak was ok, but one in our party of 5 had a tough prime rib. They did credit him 15%...since he didn't say anything until after he ate some of it. Te deserts were very good. Wasn't the best place we ever ate but not the worst.

Staff was friendly and welcoming- food was a bit disappointing. My grandfather asked special for the au gratin potatoes because they were SO good the last time he visited- originally they were over cooked and inedible. Then waiter brought him another batch and they were so under cooked! My risotto was also under cooked and hard. It was upsetting that they didn't take anything off the bill or even offer us some dessert, or have a manger touch our table. It was sad that we left not 100% satisfied.

I so wanted this to be a good review. But it just can't be. Every year we come to n. Myrtle Beach and every year we eat here and every year at least a few of us are disappointed. There are 9 adults and 4 kids. For an upscale place that I realize doesn't cater to kids, I find that kids who do come to these long dinners have a more refined palette than chicken fingers and grilled cheese. I would have liked to see something healthier for them. There are always kids there when we go and id suspect that other parents would agree. The steaks were apparently good the evening we went. Everything else...eh. I am an Ahi Tuna coneisseur. I order it at just about every upscale place I can and order as rare as possible. My tuna, which I ordered grilled and oscar, came gray and overcooked. Apparently I was to use my butter knife to cut it, which if it was as good as a cut as advertised then maybe I could have. The cartilage in the tuna couldn't be hacked through with a butter knife and wasn't chewable. Even using my sisters steak knife was a bust. Mom and my daughter had the special shrimp and scallop meal. Both had a few bites. The scallops were overcooked, rubbery, and gritty. It was very loud. Our service was decent enough. The fish and seafood quality was definitely lacking. We ate at 6:30 on a Thursday evening.

Second time going to Greg's on fishing/golf trip. This is last. For the price you pay you should get a lot better service and not be sick directly afterwards. Steaks were bitter due to cooks not cleaning grill, but you can't tell until almost gone due to the Demi glas they put on the meats. Veggies were good and fresh. Baked artichokes were stewed in butter and garlic, not baked as on menu. This morning is a challenge of digestive distress...I'll leave it at that. Had a better lunch at hooters with better service at a much better cost.

With a name like Greg Norman, you would expect decent food. My wife had crab cake sandwich, it was the worst I think I have ever tried. We sent it back. The eggroll appetizer was edible but it left an awful aftertaste in my mouth for the rest of the day. My Kobe beef burger was fairly good, though no better than any other burger, I think I got charged more because it was supposedly Kobe, but I don't think it was. And the men's restroom wreaked of urine! Seriously in a "nice" place like this you think they could clean the restrooms! We will never go back.

I will start by saying, the view on the water was wonderful. We sat right on the water and it was so nice. They had a band playing on the patio and we could hear it, but wasn't too loud. So the atmosphere was amazing. The food was just okay and overpriced. I got the filet and they butterflied it and it was a little dry. My potatoes had little flavor, but the asparagus was good. The hubs had scallops and ravioli. The scallops were chewy and overcooked, but he said the ravioli was good. He only had one bite of the scallops and didn't complain to waiter, but the waiter noticed and they took it off the bill without a complaint and without even saying anything. Sign of great service. The food took forever to come out, but the view/atmosphere made up for it and we were out for a nice dinner with no kids so it wasn't too big of a deal. We enjoyed wine, bread, and calamari while we waited. The calamari was really good and the dipping sauce was really good. Not sure if I'd go back. But it was a nice date night even if the food wasn't great.

Went here on valentines day, everyone was immediatly accomodating even after we asked to switch tables to get a prettier veiw and after my Valentine broke a glass the first 10 minutes we were there. I only gave 4 stars because I am a vegetarian and although they were extremely accomodating to making a great meat free dish, I just with there was an option on the printed menu. Our waitress was absolutley fabulous, she even told us she could split the salad onto two plates because the portions were large, this saved us some money. Got the spinich salad with citris dressing, we both loved it. I got a fresh fettuccini dish with asparagus, mushrooms, summer squach glazed onions and caramalized carrots. Probably one of the best primavara dishes I have ever had. Seasoned beautifully and had a massive amount of veggies!! Boyfriend got the pan seared NY sirloin, medium. He was happy with it but didnt like the artichokes on it so I swapped some veggies with him. The steak wasnt pink enough for his likeing but it was a perfect medium, he just needs to start ordering medium rare. For dessert we had vanilla ice cream with lots of fresh berries and Chambord. All in all a fantastic meal.

Had one of our best meals ever. My wife and I started with the She Crab Soup and it was simply the best we have ever had anywhere. Her entrée was the 14oz Prime Rib (the small one). It was perfectly done and tasted amazing. The baked potato she had was outstanding. I had their beef special, a seared filet mignon with crab meat. and mashed potatoes. It was perfectly done (medium rare) and covered in crab meat. Service was excellent despite the restaurant being packed and our server working a table of 15 in addition to his other tables. The waiter was assisted by the most personable busboy we have ever encountered. As locals, we have been here several times and have always enjoyed the experience, but this was by far the best experience we have had

I cannot speak for the food at this place, because we were treated so badly we left before even being seated. We went in early afternoon, lunch crowd was gone (I guess, because the place was nearly empty). There were just a couple of tables that were occupied. We entered the bar entrance and saw, no one at all, so we walked through to the hostess station. When we arrived there, the hostess was on the phone, so we waited and waited and waited. Another couple were there also. After three or four minutes, another hostess came and got that couple, didn't even speak to us or anything and went to seat them. The other hostess was still chatting on the phone, never even acknowledging us. We continued to wait, after a couple more minutes a gentleman, I assume a waiter or possibly the manager, came up to the hostess station, glanced at us and muttered "someone will be with you in a minute" then proceeded to wander around the hostess area, looking over the gal on the phone's shoulder and then walked away. He didn't offer to seat us or even get someone else to. We waited only another minute or two and left. It's a shame that we were left with such a bad impression, because the menu looked good and we were looking forward to trying it. We most likely will not give it another shot!

The earliest reservation they had open was 8:30pm, we arrived around 10 till 8 walked to the bar past empty tables. At 8:35pm we were seated...... At the empty table. Waiter snubbed us when we declined alcoholic beverages. Service went down hill from there. Food was average at best. This will be our last trip.

Beautiful view of the Intercoastal. My husband and I arrived on the back patio for happy hour during our weekend trip to Myrtle Beach. Overall, the experience was nice. No draft beers, but $3 bottles...so that was a perk. We ordered two appetizers, too - grouper and the spinach/artichoke dip. The grouper was AMAZING, but the dip was bland and the chips which accompanied it seemed on the stale side. Overall, I don't believe I have a full assessment of the restaurant, so I would certainly give it a try for dinner.

We sample many restaurants while traveling on the ICW on our boat. Greg Norman's restaurant is one of the few places you can get good steaks. We've lived in Colorado for three years, visited Texas many times, toured Paris and the south of France and visited Japan a half dozen times (Kobe beef!) - but the steak I was served last night was as good as any I've ever had. I ordered the special of the night, a fillet served with a blue cheese dollop on top that you could use or not use to your taste. Crab meat was also served with one of the vegetables and whipped potatoes were on the side. I specified the fillet to be on the rare side of medium rare and the cook hit the mark exactly. The fillet was very tender and had good flavor, what more to ask? With the attentive service by the waitress to round out the experience, we'll definitely come back.

Had lunch here while vacationing at North Myrtle Beach. The restaurant itself is lovely, and was surprisingly quiet considering the crowd that was at Barefoot Landing during the noon hour. The good: Comfortable seating, cool atmosphere, friendly staff, yummy onion straws, excellent in-season fruit selection, nice all-white meat chicken salad. The bad: No children's menu offered initially, causing some consternation for my 9 year old that wasn't happy with the adult lunch menu selections. The waiter was friendly, but absentminded and quite slow to return to fill drinks or take our order, despite the empty dining room. This meal was acceptable and decently priced ONLY because I had purchased a $50 gift certificate from zspot.com for half price. I would have been very disappointed with this meal if I had paid full price, I'm afraid.

Just returned from visiting Norman's with 7 other golfers. Dinner (steaks mostly) was very good. The "combined" salad and the calamari were great starters. The Reese's PB pie was outstanding. Greg Norman estate wines were half price with a coupon, otherwise meals are pretty pricey. Service was friendly and efficient -- even calculating separate checks

I'd like to give this place a half star, but I'll give one combined star for the server and for the others in my party - they didn't send back their steaks. The big failures: 1) group of six ordered a large calamari to share, and it came out with the sweet chili sauce poured all over the top and crispy rings became a soggy mess - note that calamari only good for a few rings before it all falls apart; 2) my husband's lobster tail was bland and rubbery and accompanied by alleged mashed potatoes fraught with peas and unidentifiable additions - he left it ALL on the plate; 3) my request to have a salad without croutons but added crab came with a bunch of croutons, stale-tasting crab and limp lettuce; 4) my pasta with Little Neck clams and prawns was flavorless, with soggy pasta - I left nearly all of it; 5) coffee offerings at the end had no non-dairy option - not a non-dairy creamer option in the entire place. If you want to eat terrible tasting food for a heart attack, have anything on this menu. If you want choices, creative dishes and delicious food, go anywhere but here. I realize a steak house is not a healthy joint, but options and food that tastes good are pretty important for any restaurant. Last note, the branded "shark" fin plates were over-sized and took up the entire table; our table was huge and we didn't order much. Cute marketing idea but really inconvenient. One of the worst dinner experiences I've ever had.

Definitely on the pricey side, the food was solid...but at the bar I watched a waitress cough into her hand, wipe it on the her apron, then touch her nostril, dig in her ear AND THEN she used the same hand to put straws and olives in drinks...I've worked in the food industry as a manager all my life and what that means to me there is no protocol at the restaurant for sever cleanliness/sanitation issues...I don't want to imagine how the kitchen is run.

We had really high expectations after reading Kelley Tilghman and Darius Rucker's reviews in Golf Digest Magazine. We arrived on a spectacular October evening and our table on the intercoastal was wonderful. Sadly, other than the cold beer, nothing else lived up to expectations. The service was OK, but at these prices, you would think you hope for some measure of special attention, and the waitress tried hard as she ran from table to table. The ribeyes were recommended by our waitress, which my friend and I opted for. At $26 an entree, and with our waitress advising this was their best, we were both stunningly disappointed. Overly fatty ( even for Ribeye) tasteless, thin, chewy, I can only compare it to the old Bonanza Steakhouse ( which they charged about $6 for). We left most of the steak on the plate as it was not chewable. My wife's jerk chicken was overcooked and dry, but the black eyed pea and rice side dish was fairly tasty. The 4th member of our party had the calimari which was pretty good, in fact we gave up on the ribeyes and all ate her calimari. All in all, a very disappointing dining experience, especially considering we were all predisposed to enjoy the food based on the reviews we had read and the perfect weather.

I have no clue how this place has 3 stars. On top of that Myrtle Beach has little to offer in terms of great eateries which should add to the curve. A group of 8 of us decided to give this place a try ( based on a recommendation) and we were all very happy we did. Bottem line, this place does it the right way. Great, well thought out food, helpful and respectful wait staff, and a beautiful dining room with very comfy chairs. From apps ( we had 4) to entrees ( 7 different) everything was very tasety and perfectly cooked. Mid meal we were all sharing forks full of our dish to let one another enjoy the tastyness. The Shark killed it...

This place is reasonable for lunch, a bit expensive for dinner. The appetizers are very good. They have awesome egg rolls. Yes, I know, good egg rolls in an australian grille. You have to try it. This is not your everyday egg roll. Between those egg rolls and calamari, I was definitely ready to give it a 4 star. Unfortunately the entree left me a lot to be desired. The fish and chips were awful at best. It was barely edible. It was 90% batter, 10% fish. I dug in there to find some traces of a grouper. I think the grouper would have turned in its symbolic grave if he knew he was being fried in such an undignified way. Anyway, the boys wanted to come back to try other stuff, but I managed to steer them elsewhere. I probably would be ok to go back just for the appetizers, but I don't think it's worth the risk to have dinner for 3X the cost.

Greg Norman has never disappointed us. Love the outdoor seating-generally timed to coincide with the sunset. Whether we come with adults only or our large family and grandchildren we have always been more than satisfied. The tuna is always perfect and the mozzarella tomato salad fantastic. A trip to Myrtle Beach always means at least one meal at Greg Normans-preferably two!

Ambiance is great and the food...is well just okay. Nothing to rave about like we were hoping for on Christmas eve. I'm giving it 3 stars because it's not terrible but it's still not anything to write home about. I got the snapper Oscar and it was okay, you only get a teaspoon of crabmeat on top of the snapper which was a bit disappointing. My husband had the ribeye and it wasn't very flavorful and was quite boring for a ribeye. My mother in law had the salmon and she said it was pretty good but the corn stuff that comes under it is just damn amazing!!!! My father in law had the chicken and he said it was good but it's hard to mess up chicken. Our son had the small calamari and OMGeeeee the small is huge and can serve at least 5 people. Calamari was good too but not the best I've ever had.

Came with friends after a day of golf for martinis, steak and wine night. The Brisbane filet Mignon was spiced just right for me. Our favorite wine is the Greg Norman Shiraz-Cab which pairs perfectly with the steaks. The larger cuts when ordered medium rare were more pink inside than we like so maybe a medium would have been better. We had deck seating which gave us a lovely view to finish the day. The calamari starters were fantastic

You don't go to a place called Greg Norman's without expecting a certain level of cliche-- from the shark fin shaped plates to the gift shop in front. However, even with all this, the restaurant manages to hold it's own as a legitimate food destination. Having been there twice, I've found the service prompt and warm (without the "corporate" feel you can get at other celebrities' restaurants). Regarding the food I'll say this. They know how to grill. When I've ordered my meat rare, it has actually come out rare This should be obvious, but i have been amazed at how difficult it is to get a rare or med-rare steak that isn't overcooked. They have a menu section of paired steak options as well as an a la carte section with the usual suspect side dishes. The pasta and seafood selections are reasonably extensive and should satisfy anyone who doesn't eat red meat. I recommend sitting on the back patio as it is on the water with a very nice ambiance.

I was so hesitant to go to barefoot landing as I have always considered it a tourist trap, however, this was a great evening! First, in the seat yourself bar area is a great outside section on the water with live music. The service was outstanding even on 4th of July weekend. The prime rib, snapper Oscar, filets, risotto, and the chocolate souffle were out if this world. As part time natives, we will be back to this "tourist" destination for special nights out.

WAY OVERPRICED!!!! Food was good but, really? You are paying for the atmosphere. $8 to add a salad to your entree??? We chose this restaurant for a couple of reasons....it is located at Barefoot Landing and my husband, my 2 kids (age 5 and 11) and myself planned on spending time there afterwards so the location was good, right on the intercoastal, too and I read they were supposed to have a live band during dinner playing R&B/Soul music. I knew it was pricey, but I thought it would be worth it. I also read on Yelp that if two people order wine, the price is 50% off. We arrive and when I asked our waiter about the wine special, he LOUDLY responded that he didn't know of any wine special and did not offer to go inquire about it. He was so loud and obnoxious, the entire patio could hear him interact with us. I could hear him interact with others sitting nearby as well. Not the type of service you would expect at such a pricey place. He rattled off the type of "side" salads you could get with entree so fast, I had to ask him to repeat them twice. Again, poor service. And finally, the band never showed up. It was just their routine piano player, which was nice, but not what was expected. I asked another waiter as they walked by about the band, and he knew nothing about it.....as usual. Overall, more than disappointed.....I left feeling upset!

Ok great deck. We went at lunch time and the food was pretty good. I had a steak and it was done well. My wife had the grouper sandwich that was really good. All and all an fair experience. A little pricey for the quality and service here.

The ambiance at Greg Normans is great. It's a beautiful setting and nice decor. Makes it seem like a real posh spot, located right next to the water. I ordered the fish, because I like seafood, while my friends all ordered steak. It was pretty good. It is more of an upscale restaurant though. With that being said, the service was fine, no complaints at all, the food came out an at a reasonable time.

I think this place is very expensive and I want to be clear that my review is for the happy hour only. I haven't been here for a fancy dinner yet. So I think it's Mon-Friday that they offer a really great happy hour deal with $5 appetizers that are pretty much entree size and drink specials. I really enjoyed the back patio and the view. Service was OK and the music was great! It wasn't loud but it was some of my favorite stuff which was a cool surprise. Examples of the bands they played include Concrete Blond and Modest Mouse. Sweet!

Have given GNAG two opportunities to shine. Sad to say that both disappointed me and my group. It is just impossible to justify the price you pay for the quality of the food. Sevice is average and atmosphere as expected. Menu is again average at best and needs some tweeking. Too many other places to spend my money in Myrtle Beach.

Food was excellent. We got the wood grilled lobster tail and the grilled sirloin. There is no complaint whatsoever with the food. The service was also impeccable. This restaurant is a little pricey. Two will eat for close to 70-75 after tip but you get what you pay for. The portion size was exactly what it should be. I didn't leave hungry but I didn't leave not able to walk and the plate was cleaned. A great experience!

The facility is impressive. Lots of dark wood, beautiful patio on the water and a nice looking bar. The place is pricey for the quality. Choice steaks ala cart at $30 plus. I'd rather add $10 and get a prime cut. My wife loved her grouper and the in-laws did enjoy the steaks. The pasta was terrible. Gummy and dry. It even looked bad. I was surprised they served it. The waiter was pleasant, but it took 1.5 hrs to get our food. I asked the waiter if they lost our order and he replied they were just busy. I suspect they are busy all tourist season so I do not buy the excuse. If not for the in-laws and wife enjoying their dinners I would be giving this place zero stars. It is very disappointing to spend over $300 on dinner (six adults, one child and one bottle of wine) and have a poor experience. Its off our list of places to dine when we visit Myrtle Beach

This is the worst restaurant in Myrtle Beach. We waited over an hour for our dinner after our salads and the management was telling us how busy they were..who cares you seated us so serve us. And after all that the steak ordered medium well was rare and the veggies were cold. Stay away........

I've lived all over the country, and spent alot of my college days working food service. This is my favorite restaurant of all times. My husband and I have eaten here about 20 times, and it is consistently fabulous. It's beautiful inside, the staff is terrific, and the food is the best. Of course, it should be. It is not cheap. But I think it is worth it. At least I know when I go there I'm going to have a great experience. My only wish is that they had more vegetarian options. I am limited to their salads and sides, usually the greek salad, and ala carte asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes or scalloped potatoes, all yummy. To be fair though, I've never asked the chef to modify anything on the menu. But I think a pasta dish sans meat on the menu would be a great addition.

We spend a great deal of time in Myrtle Beach and have been to Greg Normans a number of times. Recently the service has been very spotty and the food well below what one would expect of a restaurant as upscale. We had lunch there this past Sunday and my wife ordered the Crab Cake Sandwich. I ordered the Fish and Chips. Her crab cake was almost exclusively filler with a minimum of strings of crabmeat. My fried fish was dry and my fries were barely warm. We sent back the Crab Cake Sandwich letting our wait staff know what the problem was. She dropped off a menu and came back a bit too late to reorder and seemed uninterested and unconcerned. Usually, when there is a problem at a high quality restaurant, a manager comes to check out the problem. Not at Greg Normans. I made a point of seeking out the manager as we departed and let him know what our experience was. He seemed interested. We will give them another chance because it is real close to where we have a place and I would hate to write it off my list. We want them to be a great place, but over the last couple of years their service and quality have been on a downward slope.

Great dining spaces, inside and out. Pity about the uninspired food. Also, I had one unforgivable customer relations experience here: a cockroach fell onto my brother's shoulder from the very high ceiling of the main dining room; it landed so hard that it must have attained something very close to its terminal velocity. We laughed uneasily and proceeded with dinner. A few minutes later, another cockroach climbed over the partition between our booth and the next. At this point we asked our server to bring the manager to our table. When we described what had happened, the manager became defensive and improvised some explanation about recent rains. I asked if she would at least comp our meal. She bristled at the suggestion and said that a discount on one of the entrees was the best she could do. I still occasionally go just for the lovely Waterway view--especially nice when it's cold out and they bring a gas canopy heater to the table.

Just have the appetizers. This place is extremely over-priced! After waiting for over an hour and a half on our food, we were very dissatisfied. I had the lobster ravioli, but it tasted like ravioli with a cheese paste. The steaks and salmon were dry. The buns on my sons burger were cold. This is not a place for main course meals!

I make it a point to eat lunch here at least once a month. The lunch menu is wonderful, and I have never found anything that I don't like. The restaurant itself is beautiful, and it is wonderful overlooking the water. it is one of my favorite places to take friends and clients in North Myrtle Beach.

We almost didn't visit Greg Norman's restaurant after reading the reviews -- but were sure glad we did! The "smell" another reviewer refers to is the aroma of woodfire used for grilling the fabulous meat. The food is excellent and the prices reasonable considering the quality. We tried both surf and turf and were not disappointed! Their happy hour cannot be beat. The only room for improvement we identified was during happy hour there was only one bartender for awhile and although she worker her tail off, our service was slow. Definitely recommend if you want a nice, quality dinner.

Don't expect to see the Shark here, nor will you see an overabundance of his golf mementos. It's in Barefoot Landing on the IC Waterway. Do expect yachts moored at the dock, very good service, warm atmosphere. And o ya, pretty good food. Wood fired steaks are the specialty but the pork chops are great. One of the pricier spots at the beach but I think they have the best steaks around. Good wine list as well, very nice bar area if you just want a drink and an appetizer. It sounds touristy because of the name but worth returning to.

For the price, it needs to be a lot better. The restaurant looked nice and is huge, but the food was mediocre.
